What type of cameras do you use?

I shoot both film and digital, that means I use my digital cameras for the entire wedding and my film cameras when the light allows. Film needs lots of light, but digital cameras can shoot in pretty much any setting - so I use the best camera for every situation. My digital cameras are in the Nikon family and my film cameras range from Nikon, to Pentax to Mamiya. I’m always learning and improving my craft and that means updating my gear when the time comes.

I keep my set up pretty simple and I use available light wherever possible. When things get a little too dark, I have lighting and flashes to help

Do you work with assistants?

I absolutely work with assistants! If your day has unique schedule challenges where you’d need a photographer to be in two places at once, an assistant photographer is something you should consider. If you need family portraits during the cocktail hour or if you and your fiancé are getting ready at very different locations at the same time - I might need an extra set of eyes. There are a handful of reasons why you might want extra coverage. We can talk about the specifics of your day and decide what’s best. But take comfort that no matter what direction you go in, every important moment will be captured.

How much experience do you have?

I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts in photography in 2010 and I have been photographing weddings professionally ever since. You don’t always need a degree in photography to acquire the skills needed, but it’s been a passion of mine since I was a teenager and there was nothing else I wanted to study. I was fortunate enough to also learn printmaking, ceramics, painting and other fine arts. Learning these other mediums strengthened my aesthetic and understanding of visual art and the value they hold.

I have over 10 years experience working in a variety of beautiful landscapes and with all kinds of wonderful and inspiring people.

What happens after the wedding?

After your event, I spend up to 6 weeks editing and curating your wedding gallery. Every image I give you is carefully selected and edited to perfection. I then deliver your images in an online gallery for 1 month. These images can be shared and downloaded by anyone you choose to share them with.

My wedding packages come with 50 - 4 x 6 prints and a flash drive in a keepsake box. Any books and additional prints are available for purchase through your online gallery once your edits are complete. I have access to several high quality print vendors in all price ranges.

Ideally we also remain friends and occasionally grab a beer together.
